What is Sinopop？
Sinopop is maintained (sporadically) by Lee Ambrozy. My Internet endeavors are primarily found at artforum.com.cn.
Lee Ambrozy graduated from Beijing’s Central Academy of Fine arts, with a M.A. in Chinese art history, she studied Chinese at Beijing University in 2004 and has been living in Beijing since then. She is currently the editor of Artforum’s Chinese language website, and her first major work in translation Ai Weiwei’s Blog (March 2011) was published by MIT Press in Spring 2011. She has also translated for MoMA’s Contemporary Chinese Art––Primary Documents (ed. Wu Hung, 2010), materials for the China Pavilion of the 53rd Venice Biennial, and written for, as well as translated the catalogue raissoné for the academic artist Chen Wenji (CAFA, 2010); other collaborators include NAMOC, UCCA, and the Today Art Museum among others.
